The position of the LAQ in response to the Government’s “Queensland’s Personalised Transport Horizon”  (QPTH)
The Government’s position is a political decision and the advice to the LAQ is that we need to fight any proposed legislation in the political arena.

Since the release of the QPTH, the LAQ executive has met with various members of the LNP as well as those cross bench MP’s who are in a position to either defeat or make changes to any proposed legislation. Many members have met with their local MP including Government members however there appears to be a reluctance to move away from the Government’s position. Our aim is to continue to put forward the case to have the Limousine Industry remain as is, and further meetings are being planned in all areas of the political sphere.

Some contact has been made with media representatives, and a liaison is being fostered to have our position placed in the public arena.

We encourage all members to have contact with their local MP, and if input material is required, please contact the Association.
